Hand-made Custom Bicycles | Tempest Cycles

If you are anything like me you will know the struggles of being tall and buying bikes. I am 205cm tall with long legs and a shorter torso.
I asked my Instagram community whether they knew anyone that could build me a bike. A few great recommendations came through and that’s how I found Rob Benson from Tempest Bicycles in Dungog, New South Wales.
I explained my requirements and Rob said he would build the bike like a ‘Battleship’. If you are tall or if you are looking for a bike built for your needs whether thats gravel, road or with S&S couplers, Rob is a great option.
My biggest excitement was the level of ownership that Rob put on my new project bike. When you have ridden bikes all your life that are expensive and unreliable, you can understand how significant Rob’s passion meant to me.
Through the process of building the bike, I also met a number of other excellent hand-made Australian frame builders, which have been building amazing road, gravel and mountain bikes with 15+ years of experience.
