Sheffield > UKRAINE BY bIKE FOR CHARITY
I and 3 other riders are cycling 3200 kilometers from the UK to Ukraine in 12 days to raise money for children affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine. Our goal is to raise enough funds to provide at least 250 children and parents with individual and group sessions with psychologists.

Our Route
We have designed a route that takes us from the hills of Yorkshire to the battlefields of Northern France & Belgium, through the post-war European centers of peace and integration, along the Danube River and into some of Europe’s thriving cities. This route ensures we have chosen a safe, friendly and fun route with real culture and history.
How can we follow your trip?
You can follow us on social media for regular daily updates and posts. Our live tracker is on Maprogress so you can watch our dots cycle across Europe with updates every 5 minutes.

Why did you choose Voices of Children?
The charity and ride was initially coined by Ed and Heath. At the time, Ed was housing one of 3 Ukrainian refugee families which he had been housing in his place in Sheffield. The stories and experiences they shared with him motivated Ed to want to use his skills and have a positive impact on the Ukrainian community hence Voices of Children was chosen.
Can we ride with you?
Yes absolutely! You can follow the route online using the Maprogress link above or you can message us through our Instagram to arrange a meeting spot.
Voice of Children Charitable Foundation
Azad Safarov a documentary filmmaker met Olena Rozvadovska who at the time was providing humanitarian aid to local residents, convincing them to evacuate and looking for opportunities to rehabilitate injured children. Together they worked on a film called “A House Made of Splinters” about children from a destroyed orphanage, whose destinies changed within an instant. Their work together led to their joint objective of spreading the word about the war in Ukraine and abroad and collecting targeted aid for these affected children.
“The key task of the Foundation is to help a child maintain control over what is happening in his/her life and not depend on help all the time. Our priority is to provide long-term comprehensive psychological support to a child, fully understand his/her needs and work on the prevention of PTSD or coping with the consequences of the war.”
